NORWICH, Conn. Nov. 3 /Christian Newswire/ -- 40 Days for Life, an intense pro-life campaign that is focused on prayer, fasting, and grassroots educational outreach, comes to a conclusion tomorrow. "In Norwich we have activated and maintained a 24 hour 7 days a week prayer vigil for 39 days manned by 35 churches and individuals who sign up. Over 400 volunteers activated and joined in unity to pray outside of Planned Parenthood, said Brian Daly, church coordinator. We have joined thousands praying throughout the county in 33 states and 87 cities."

We have seen numerous women and men begin to heal and deal with their pain from previous abortion experiences. Lisa Martin said," I have benefited from the healing experience of praying at the clinic knowing that I could possibly help other women avoid the terrible mistake I made. It has been twenty years since my first pregnancy and abortion. I have since become a Catholic and confessed my sins, gotten married and confided all to my husband and still I was not healed, though not for lack of trying."

"40 Days for Life has afforded me the opportunity to heal by praying for other women. Only God can fill the hole, said Lisa Martin. I've tried everything but nothing else has worked. My Prayer is, Jesus, End Abortion. Simply stop letting women hurt themselves. Have the baby - there is support."

Corinn Dahm, spokesperson for 40 Days for Life, said," we really want to sprint ahead to the finish and give glory to God for all He accomplished this month including the two babies saved from abortion through our presence in peaceful prayer."

A Celebration Rally begins at 6:00 P.M. on November 4 in the basement of St. Patrick's Cathedral in Norwich. Food will be provided, testimonies will be heard, and entertainment will be provided by the band Exaudio. A baby gift is requested. All gifts will be distributed equally to the five local Norwich area Pregnancy Resource Centers, Birthright of New London, Birthright of Windham, Catholic Charities, Care Net Danielson, Care Net Groton. Items that are needed: diapers, wipes, blankets, Good Start formula. At the close of the 40 Days for Life, there will be a candlelight vigil at Planned Parenthood from 9 P.M. -12 A.M. Sunday night. The public is invited.
