ERIE, Penn., April 8, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- Wonderfully WOVEN, a new online ministry for women, has officially launched. The site, founded by Lori Clapper, grew out of a desire to provide encouragement and guidance for women to find and live out their unique purpose in all facets of life.
Ironically, the vision for Wonderfully WOVEN emerged during one of the most broken times in Clapper's life.
"2013 was a rough year for me," Clapper said. "I was drowning in self-doubt, losing my own sense of purpose. It led to bad decisions as I sought approval in all the wrong places -- and not from God -- where my focus needed to be."
But even though she was walking through one of the deepest valleys of her life, God was planting seeds of redemption.
It was during a late-night flight home from a business trip that God started to lay the foundation for Wonderfully WOVEN in her heart. But she pushed it to the back of her mind.
"I kept asking myself: How can I do this, God? I am not good enough. I am not enough. Period. But He relentlessly chased after me, reminding me that, no, I am not enough. Not on my own," Clapper shared.
Last Fall, as God began to heal her heart, the vision for Wonderfully WOVEN was becoming more clear. She brought up the idea to her friend, Marcie Gribbin, who from the beginning has played an integral part in the growth of the ministry, giving constant support.
"I believed in Lori's vision from the first moment she shared it," said Gribbin, editorial director for Wonderfully WOVEN. "And my mind immediately started spinning on who else would be a great fit for this vision."
Beyond the hopes and expectations of both Gribbin and Clapper, God put a team of amazing and gifted women together, from all over the country, who are weaving their talents, skills, experiences, and faith into a purposeful online community for encouraging women.
