ENUMCLAW, Washington, August 8 /Christian Newswire/ -- With increasing pressure from society to "do more and be more," today's busy families are running in all directions. As a result, the mom caught in the middle trying to facilitate everyone's schedule often feels like she is living in a zoo.

In her new book, "Living in a Zoo" (WinePress, 2007), acclaimed Bible teacher and author Brenda Lancaster says this is a common frustration with mothers today. "Women everywhere will tell you that the pressures of being a wonderful wife, marvelous mom and happy homemaker bring stress that even the most hardy women find hard to handle," she says.

In addition to being a wife, mother and grandmother, Lancaster is the founder of Zookeeper Ministries which is intent on helping women learn to bring order to their lives and homes. "With today's busy lifestyle, I think it becomes more important than ever for women to learn to be organized and to be good managers their homes."

Using principles drawn from the Bible, Lancaster provides practical strategies and a daily action plan to tame the family zoo. In "Living in a Zoo," Lancaster focuses on Titus 2 to help women address the following areas . . .

         Frustration from over commitment

Maintaining an organized and well-run home

         Self-discipline

         God's plan for marriage

Raising children who are both spiritually and practically successful

         Dealing with rollercoaster emotions

         Addressing issues of sexual purity

Each chapter is divided into five daily lessons which include Biblical teaching, practical advice and an assignment. "This is where the woman is led to put into practice what she has learned that day," says Lancaster. "This allows her to see and experience a little piece of victory each day."
