Christian Newswire/ -- You are invited to cover a hearing on China's religious freedom abuses, to be held on Thursday afternoon in front of members of the Committee on Foreign affairs in Washington, D.C.

Hosted by the Subcomittee on Africa, Global Health, Global Human Rights, and International Organizations, an organization chaired by U.S. Representative Chris Smith, the open hearing will be held at 2:00 p.m. ET on Sept. 27 in Room 2255 of the Rayburn House Office Building. It will be divided into two panels to discuss China's routine persecution of Christians and people who hold other religious beliefs. The first panel will consist of Commissioner of the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom Dr. Tenzin Dorjee, and the second will be comprised of Fu and Dr. Thomas Farr, president of the Religious Freedom Institute.
According to a notice distributed to members of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, the hearing may include additional witnesses and will also be streamed live on the
committee's website.
