It's been a long, hot summer. Thank God it's nearly over. On July 4th 2020 I wrote about 'Seeking God for Liberty in Times of Masks and Division.' It's unusual for me to go more than a week or two before opining again. Yet, it's nearly six weeks from the last post, and I've struggled for days about what to say upon this return. Well friends, I'm back; and on fire again.

There have been many conversations with friends [and yes foes] about the state of affairs in America and around the world. My greatest struggle has been to remain in faith in the face of fear; to hope against hope; and to love in the mist of hate filled tirades.

My hope is renewed within the deluge of prayer meetings, calls for repentance, revival, transformation and reconciliation; in person, on social media, traditional and nontraditional media; and by phone. I even received an unsolicited book in the mail; MAKE AMERICA PRAY AGAIN. At Priests for Life, where I am founding Executive Director of CIVIL RIGHTS FOR THE UNBORN, we pray daily for life; and for a God -fearing administration to continue here in America.

The opportunities for working with groups of praying Americans who are truly standing for life [from the womb to the tomb]; liberty [for everyone, regardless of ethnicity and all social concerns]; and the pursuit of happiness [and human dignity for every person living and unborn – as one blood/one human race] are boundless.

So, while I haven't been blogging, I've been praying with groups such as Promise Keepers, The Return, National Black Catholics for Life, Concerned Women of America, Prayer Surge NOW!, United2Pray, Movie Guide, and so many others; too many to name, but not too many to appreciate. It seems as though the worse things appear to be, the prayers for deliverance are becoming stronger and more frequent. God's love will never fail us.

There have been too many shockwaves and losses this year alone; what with COVID19, street wars, economic upheaval, deaths of loved ones, and so much more. Yet, in the midst of all of this, miracles are happening every day. I miss our friend Herman Cain. Longtime Civil Rights Champion John Lewis was celebrated upon departure. So many losses, yet hope is still alive.

Let's thank God that President Trump is strong in maintaining his mantra: "We don't worship government, we worship God." Along these lines, my goddaughter Angela Stanton King is fearless and dauntless amidst the roaring of the beast. It is so important to remember in the next few days, as we approach the next rounds of elections here in 2020, that we have so much to gain by voting for the sanctity of all human life; one blood/one human race.
