Worldwide Marriage Encounter to be Focus of Special Show on EWTN's 'Church Universal' TV Program March 15, 2015
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif., March 9, 2015 /
Christian Newswire/ -- The focus of an upcoming episode of the Eternal Word Television Network's (EWTN) "Church Universal" television program will be Worldwide Marriage Encounter (WWME).
The 30 minute show will air three times beginning Sunday, March 15th. The first airing will be at 5 pm Eastern Time (ET) and 2 pm Pacific Time (PT). Subsequent airings will be on March 17th at 5 am ET and 2 am PT and March 20th at 10 pm ET and 7 pm PT. This is the first of two episodes about WWME that will be aired on EWTN's Church Universal. The next show will air in 7 weeks.
The shows' host, Fr. Joseph Mary, MFVA, will be interviewing the WWME North American Ecclesial Team of Scott & Karen Seaborn and Fr. Tom Ogg. The show was taped last year in Irondale, AL, the headquarters for the EWTN studios. EWTN is the original Catholic television network. EWTN shows are broadcast to 140 countries and millions of viewers across the world.
"What a wonderful opportunity to broadcast the uplifting and strong message of WWME – that our movement is designed to help couples and priests really embrace their Sacraments of Matrimony and Holy Orders," the ecclesial team explained, adding "It was a pleasure to be guests of Fr. Joseph Mary and to be given the opportunity to spread the word about Worldwide Marriage Encounter not only across North American via television screens, but across the world," they added.
Worldwide Marriage Encounter has been offering weekend experiences for over 45 years and is considered the original faith-based marriage enrichment program. The programs are continually updated to keep abreast of changes in society, and WWME now offers evening and half-day programs that are presented at parishes and other church facilities. The weekend program, traditionally presented as an overnight experience at a hotel or retreat center, can also be presented at facilities where the couples return to their homes in the evenings. WWME has a presence in almost 100 countries, which makes it the largest pro-marriage movement in the world. In North America, the WWME programs are presented in English, Spanish, French, and Korean languages.
Worldwide Marriage Encounter offers married couples the opportunity to spend time together away from the busyness of the world to focus on each other. It offers tools for building and maintaining a strong, Christian marriage in today's world.
