MURFREESBORO, Tenn., Nov. 12, 2014 /
Christian Newswire/ -- World Outreach Church of Murfreesboro, TN, has announced an event to kick off the holiday season with a whole new way to celebrate God. Called "Give Thanks," this two-hour event will bring thousands of men and women to Nashville's Bridgestone Arena under one extraordinary occasion to acknowledge what God has done in our lives and start a new season inside us.
"When God says that 'Thanks' is a direct part of the relationship we can have with Him- it becomes essential and natural that we find better ways to celebrate and make this more important and meaningful, said WOC Senior Pastor G. Allen Jackson. "Thanksgiving and Christmas form the centerpiece of our culture in terms of having real time to reflect upon God. We hope to provide a tremendous occasion to place greater expressions of faith into the season."
World evangelist from South Africa, also known for his movie [Sony], "Faith Like Potatoes," Angus Buchan will join Jackson, sharing insights about practicing-experiencing Christianity.
"There is a new and serious interest in learning to trust Jesus," Buchan said. "I see it in hundreds of thousands of lives! I watch it fall from Heaven, and I know the power of God is available, and He wants to bring something new to our world today I have watched and understand what faith and hope in Jesus can do. Nothing else compares. I am so excited to be coming back to Tennessee because I know God has begun something great here."
The event is from 7 pm to 8:30 pm on Sunday night, November 23 at Nashville's Bridgestone arena. It will also feature inspiring music. Country star Charlie Daniels will perform. For more information and tickets go to:
