CHARLESTON, Sc., May 18 /Christian Newswire/ -- Steve Amerson, well-known Inspirational music artist, will be singing the "The Star Spangled Banner" and "America the Beautiful" for the dedication of the Congressional Medal of Honor Museum on the flight deck of the USS Yorktown on Wednesday, May 23, 2007, in Charleston, South Carolina.

It will be a black-tie event with NBC Nightly News Anchor and Managing Editor, Brian Williams, serving as emcee. The NBC Nightly News will originate from the USS Yorktown that evening.

The honored guests for the gala will be Medal of Honor recipients. There are 112 living Medal of Honor recipients and fifty are expected to attend.

The Congressional Medal of Honor Museum at Patriots Point opens to the public just in time for the 2007 Memorial Day Weekend. Located on board the historic WWII aircraft carrier USS Yorktown, this interactive experience uses sight, sound and feel in telling the story of the Medal of Honor and the brave Americans who received our nation's highest honor for valor in military service.
