Multiple award winning film "The Goal" comes home Denver theatrical release benefit area nonprofits that support those with disabilities

DENVER, Sept. 13 /Christian Newswire/ -- The multiple award-winning feature film returns home to Colorado for its theatrical premiere. The premiere is on September 22, 2006 at Starz Film Center which is located in the Tivoli at 900 Auraria Pkwy, Denver, CO 80204-1894.

Darla Rae, director, producer, and writer of "The Goal" said, "The journey has been a long haul. "From its conception it's taken 12 years, but once we started filming last year it took 15 days to shoot, 60 days to edit on a laptop, and won three international film festival awards. We've been invited to Milan Italy and the film was picked up by Maverick Entertainment for Worldwide Distribution on DVD and television all in one year." Rae feels that giving back to the community that helped her make the film is important. "It's simple really. The whole point of The Goal is to give back," said Rae.
