WASHINGTON, Sept. 7 /Christian Newswire/ -- Concerned Women for America’s (CWA’s) founder and chairman Mrs. Beverly LaHaye will be honored with an award at the Extraordinary Women’s conference in Lynchburg, Virginia this weekend. Mrs. LaHaye is being recognized for her many years of steadfast service and outstanding achievements.
“I am honored to accept this award given by such a marvelous ministry as Extraordinary Women,” said Mrs. LaHaye. “The Lord has been faithful to my ministry and my family over the years and I am continually amazed by His goodness. Any recognition I receive is only because of the transformation God has brought into my life. I want to thank the leaders of Extraordinary Women for honoring me in this way and for their tremendous work in organizing this conference with 7,000 women in attendance.
“I pray this conference will be filled with powerful teaching, fervent prayer, and beautiful musical offerings. What a privilege it is for women from around the country to come together in one place, lifting each other up in prayer and encouragement. As we seek God’s will for our lives, we share the common goal of glorifying Christ through a deeper understanding and love for Him. Please join me in praying for a God-honoring conference that will leave women feeling closer to the heart of Christ, refreshed from the hardships of life, and excited for the future God has in store for them.”
