BOSTON, Mass., Dec. 2 /Christian Newswire/ -- Global worship leader and conference speaker Karen Ricketts speaks out about connecting worshippers across the world and embracing the sound of a new anointing. She is taking her message to the nations in a variety of ways, including a series of appearances in 2010 and a new CD called "Crown Him Lord" recently released in the United States.
"The world pays attention to the Church when the Church pays attention to God," said Karen, coming off her CD release event at MorningStar Baptist Church in Boston. "Our ultimate goal is Jesus Christ. Worshipping the Lord is the thread that is re-connecting all of us. Denominations are recognizing that we must do this together if we are to represent the 'true' body of Christ. Our eyes are being opened to the new work that the Holy Spirit is doing in the hearts of people everywhere. As a result, what is being unleashed is the sound of a new anointing."
This new anointing is evident on Karen's new CD. "Crown Him Lord" is a Holy Spirit-inspired adventure in worship. It is another milestone on her incredible journey from growing up in Cambridge, Massachusetts to spending summers with her Native American family in Kentucky to being drawn to the new move of God in Boston. Her multi-cultural approach to worship is part of a broader vision to equip people with the keys to a greater encounter with the living God, transforming lives through faith in Christ.
As Karen embraces what God is doing throughout the New England region and beyond, she is witnessing the power of God as she joins with fellow worshippers to exalt the name of Jesus among the harvest. Karen's goal is to worship God among the nations (the harvest) and watch God sweep souls into His Kingdom and rescue them out of the darkness.
Karen was recently invited to participate in a "worship in global missions" discussion that connected worship leaders from across the globe and focused on sharing strategies on living out true worship among diverse cultures around the world. Worship in missions is something near and dear to Karen's heart as she recognizes that everything that she does should ultimately point souls to Christ and bring glory to God alone.
In 2010, Karen will be traveling to Brazil to continue her God-appointed assignment of being a voice to the nations. Karen currently serves as an Associate Pastor at Family Life Fellowship in Hyde Park, MA. She has been married to her husband Collin for 22 years and they have 3 beautiful children: Jarrid, Ashli and Josh.
