SAN BERNARDINO, Calif., May 14, 2015 /Christian Newswire/ -- The focus of the newest episode of the Eternal Word Television Network's (EWTN) "Church Universal" television program will again be Worldwide Marriage Encounter (WWME).
The 30 minute show will air three times beginning Sunday, May 17th. The first airing will be at 5 pm Eastern Time (ET) and 2 pm Pacific Time (PT). Subsequent airings will be on May 19th at 5 am ET and 2 am PT and May 22nd at 10 pm ET and 7 pm PT. Internationally the show will begin airing on Sunday, June 7th. Specific broadcast times can be found on the EWTN website. This is the second of two episodes about WWME that are airing on EWTN's Church Universal.
The shows' host, Fr. Joseph Mary, MFVA, will be interviewing two WWME couples along with Fr. Tom Ogg, WWME's North American Ecclesial Leadership Priest. The couples are Dick and Diane Baumbach from Cape Canaveral, Florida and Jose & Deborah Auces from Oviedo, Florida. The show, which was taped last year in Irondale, AL, the headquarters for the EWTN studios, will focus on why the couples and Fr. Ogg attended a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend and what it meant to them. EWTN is the original Catholic television network. EWTN shows are broadcast to 140 countries and millions of viewers across the world.
Worldwide Marriage Encounter has been offering weekend experiences for over 46 years and is considered the original faith-based marriage enrichment program. The programs are continually updated to keep abreast of changes in society, and WWME now offers evening and half-day programs that are presented at parishes and other church facilities. The weekend program, traditionally presented as an overnight experience at a hotel or retreat center, can also be presented at facilities where the couples return to their homes in the evenings. WWME has a presence in almost 100 countries, which makes it the largest pro-marriage movement in the world. In North America, the WWME programs are presented in English, Spanish, French, and Korean languages.
Worldwide Marriage Encounter offers married couples the opportunity to spend time together away from the busyness of the world to focus on each other. It offers tools for building and maintaining a strong, Christian marriage in today's world.
