WASHINGTON, March 21 /Christian Newswire/ -- Rev. Patrick Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition submits the following statement regarding Congressman Bart Stupak's decision to vote 'yes' on healthcare reform:

"We have heard of the breaking news that Congressman Bart Stupak has agreed to vote 'yes' on the current healthcare reform legislation due to an executive order being promised that would restrict public funds from being used to pay for abortion. We are calling on the entire pro-life, pro-family community of faith and all people of conviction that oppose tax payer funded abortion to immediately contact Congressman Bart Stupak and convince him that a vote for health care is a vote for abortion regardless of any executive order being promised.
 
"Executive orders may be changed on a whim. Any future president or even Barak Obama himself can reverse such an order and in the case of this healthcare legislation we would be right back to millions of tax dollars being used to fund the destruction of innocent little babies through abortion.
