DALLAS, May 7 /Christian Newswire/ -- Remember Y2K? And the fear that gripped the nation because we thought a massive computer glitch would cause the end of society?

Ten years later, we know that there is no need to fear; but rather there are plenty of reasons to pray!

And pray we will as we band together as women who love the Lord and seek His mighty works across our nation and around the world. The culmination of this prayer effort is the 10K2FLIGHT Prayer Mission, led by Thelma Wells, A Woman of God Ministries.

Inspired by Leviticus 26:8, "And five of you shall chase one hundred and one hundred of you shall put 10,000 to flight and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword," the mission is to set 10,000 to flight in their daily walk with Jesus and to empower those 10,000 in the Holy Spirit to triumph over the work the enemy has set out for our families, friends, schools, communities, nation and the world!

"We are at a time where there have never been so many distractions or things battling to occupy our minds, as well as our time," said Sharon Hallaran, president of PrayerWare Inc. The first of quarterly prayer conference calls will be on May 6, the National Day of Prayer. "This is such a powerful way to start our mission as we align our hearts in prayer with thousands of other Americans who will be praying for our country," Hallaran said.

A Woman of God Ministries seeks women who are willing to pray diligently in alignment with the 10K2Flight Mission and to participate in quarterly conference calls. These calls are coordinated by state so that 100 women from every state, including Washington D.C., will be praying in unison. The goal is for 5,100 women to pray together four times per year.
