When Purpose is Unknown, Abuse is Inevitable

Contact: Jeffery Burns, 602-243-8455

PHOENIX, April 9, 2013 /Christian Newswire/ -- As the Supreme Court try's to determine whether or not same-sex marriage will be accepted by the governing laws of the U.S. The battle continues between the Christians and liberals throughout the country on street corners, social media, and internet blogs. The country is literally being ripped in half socially over the issue and there does not seem to be an end in sight; regardless of the decision that is made by the Supreme Court. As a country we have to ask ourselves a question though, why is there a need to redefine marriage in America all of the sudden?

The answer can be found in the fact that as a society we have lost our sense of individuality and community purpose. Over the years the roles of men and women have changed dramatically in America and this has influenced the desire to also change the individual purpose of men and women. Along with the growing lack of male presence in the lives of our children; we as a society have begun to question our original purpose because we do not see it as much as we use too. The problem is, 'when purpose is unknown, abuse is inevitable." -- Pastor J.O. Burns.

"When a person does not know his purpose, he will always abuse himself and others around him." -- Pastor J.O. Burns. The same-sex marriage issue is not so much about redefining marriage as it is about redefining an individual's purpose. We were all created with a purpose and if we do not fulfill that purpose we put ourselves and those around us in harm's way. In the case of same-sex marriage we are talking about the men and women involved but also the children. We have seen the devastation of communities throughout the U.S. where the mother or father is not in the children's life; so the question becomes what will happen when a child is raised without a mothers (female) love or fathers (male) approval?
