NEW YORK, Nov. 21 /Christian Newswire/ -- The American Bible Society has partnered with Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) to air two separate Thanksgiving specials to celebrate the holiday. Legendary singer and actor Pat Boone and television host Bryant Gumbel will each host a special on the popular network.
An American Thanksgiving with Bryant Gumbel will air Thursday, November 22 at 2 and 7 pm Pacific Time (5 and 10 pm ET). Thanksgiving USA with Pat Boone will air the same day at 4:30 pm Pacific Time (7:30 pm ET) and 9:30 pm Pacific Time (12:30 am ET).
Thanksgiving USA with Pat Boone will also air on over 250 local and cable television stations across the country beginning Thanksgiving Day and throughout Thanksgiving weekend. Viewers should check local listings for specific viewing times.
This magazine-style program features inspirational stories. From a man who fled his country to seek asylum in the United States where he could freely practice his religion to a community on the mend after suffering a horrific loss during a natural disaster, Thanksgiving USA explores the meaning of Thanksgiving for many Americans.
"This television special celebrates America's unifying spirit of inclusiveness and liberty," said Dr. Paul Irwin, president, the American Bible Society. "We are pleased to have this excellent opportunity to remind Americans that despite the hardships we face and the complexities of our many cultures learning to live together, this national holiday is the day that brings all of us to the table of gratitude, tradition, festivity and Thanksgiving."
