CHICAGO, June 18 /Christian Newswire/ -- Take Back America Day(TM) is a national day endorsed by the Chicago Media Corporation for the promotion of U.S. economic patriotism to be held annually on the first day of July.
The national spokesperson and founder of the national day, Dr. Jessica Davis, president of Chicago Media Corporation, declared this national day after completing a 30-city media tour as a nonpartisan political commentator talking about the importance of the 2008 Presidential Election and the future of America. Dr. Davis stated that she talked and listened to Americans from coast to coast during this media tour and many asked her, "What can we do to save America?" It became clear to Dr. Davis that the American people are ready for a change.
Dr. Davis states, "As you know, we are in a critical hour. We know the biggest issue is the economy. We are experiencing record home foreclosures as a result of predatory lenders who provided alternative financing with adjustable interest rates to buyers who could not actually afford the houses when the interest rates increased.
"We have been waiting for Washington to make needed changes and we are still waiting. We can no longer wait for corporate America or Washington for the needed changes to save our future. We are experiencing what happens when capitalism does not have a conscience. We are selling America to the lowest bidder. We have outsourced the heart of America to foreign soil by sending our production, manufacturing, and service industries to foreign soil because of cheaper labor and materials.
"The only thing that a capitalistic society responds to is the bottom line. We must become economic patriots. What is an economic patriot? An economic patriot is a person who loves, supports, and defends his or her country and its economic interest.
