3rd Annual Midwest Homeschool Convention Set for Cincinnati on April 16-18, 2009

CINCINNATI, Nov. 6 /Christian Newswire/ -- Homeschooling continues to thrive, and as a result, the 3rd Annual Midwest Homeschool Convention on April 16-18, 2009, is moving to the Duke Energy Center in Cincinnati. This move to larger facilities will allow for a huge exhibit hall of approximately 200 vendors who will feature the best of homeschool curricula, plus a full schedule of workshops and seminars.

The Midwest Homeschool Convention in Cincinnati is a Christian event that is designed to offer support to current homeschoolers, as well as provide information to those families considering home education for their children.

The mainstream growth of homeschooling is apparent in the sheer numbers of people who attend this homeschool convention each year. In 2008, more than 1,500 families from more than seven states attended the event. For 2009, the numbers are expected to grow significantly as word spreads of this unique and informative event intended to help families discover the joys and give them the resources necessary for the homeschooling journey.

Homeschooling experts will present a variety of seminars on different homeschool methods and curriculums. Homeschool methods that will be presented and discussed include Classical Homeschool Education, Eclectic Homeschooling, Charlotte Mason methods, and more. Curriculum topics such as teaching homeschool science, math, writing and history will be included. And, there will be workshops and other homeschool information from the many vendors and exhibitors who will be present.

Over 150 seminars and workshops to encourage, inspire and instruct will take place at the homeschooling convention. This includes sessions led by Susan Wise Bauer, author of the bestselling book, The Well-Trained Mind. Other presenters include Dr. Jay Wile, Dr. Stephen Guffanti, Jim Weiss, Amanda Bennett, Dr. Wanda Phillips, Ginger Plowman, Dr. Mary Hood, Dr. Rebecca Keller, Mark Hamby and dozens more outstanding homeschooling experts at this convention.

The Midwest Homeschool Convention began in 2006, with the first convention in 2007 on the 165-acre campus of Landmark Cincinnati.
