Evangelist Alveda King: Voter ID Denial, Slavery and Abortion Are Identity Theft

ATLANTA, April 9, 2021 /Christian Newswire/ -- The following is submitted by Evangelist Alveda King and she is available for comment:

In the 20th century and during the days of slavery in the 19th century and the 18th century, slaves and indentured Blacks were robbed of precious identities.

Today, when you say to me as a citizen of the United States of America, "You don't need to have an ID to vote," you are saying to me, your identity does not matter. You don't need to know who you are, just show up, vote my agenda, and I will stir your emotions, your fear, keep you in the dark, and continue to suppress your civil rights. I will call the privilege of your having ID and knowing who you are 'voter suppression.'"

The question is at hand. When will we know as the one blood, one race, one human race, when will we know who we are in Christ Jesus? My uncle Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, "We must learn to live together as brothers [and sisters] or we will perish together as fools." Today, I as an American citizen, I believe that we can live together as brothers and sisters. That way we will not perish together as fools.

We must see ourselves as one blood, one race, the human race, not colorblind. I do not want my identity suppressed. I know who I am in Christ Jesus. Give me my ID. Recognize my identity. As a Black American woman of a certain age and living in America in the 21st century, I am praying that we will truly wake up and regard the human personality; see and value the gift of ethnicity.

Another thing. Why isn't anyone protesting having to show ID when they want to drive an automobile or fly on an airplane? Also, where is the justice to combat racial discrimination in moving an athletic event from a city with over 50% minority population to a city with less than a 10% Black population?

Jim Crow 101 plays the race card and convinces the Black population to succumb to victim-hood.

Then too, racial discrimination occurs when you take away the identities of a minority population. Example: When the people of California were signing petitions to recall their governor, where was the fairness of the ID issue? You can vote in California with no ID, but you have to have an ID to vote to recall the Governor?

Another example: When you go to vote, you don't need an ID. Yet in certain instances, you need proof of vaccines; also a different form of ID. That is obviously a double standard. Total hypocrisy (in my opinion).

Most importantly, whether voting with an ID or without an ID, just remember to vote for LIFE. Let us value our God-given identities; from the womb to the tomb. God bless you!
