Details:
In 2012 and 2013, among its 43 affiliates across 16 states, the Gamaliel network won public policy campaign victories worth more than $13 billion, creating more than 450,000 jobs and generating more than a $17 billion increase in the gross domestic product.

"For months, we have been on the ground in Ferguson with clergy and protesters. Post-Ferguson, we believe that it is essential to take a long hard look at what works in communities of color. And nothing works better than jobs at getting people off the street and putting money into low income neighborhoods," says Ana Garcia-Ashley, Gamaliel Executive Director.

"St Louis and other cities are looking at racial profiling, court reform and civilian review boards, which we urge them to consider. But more and better jobs are a key long term solution," she says.
