Alive Communications Celebrates 25th with Rebranding/Dealmaking

Contact: Rick Christian, Alive Literary Agency, 719-260-7080

COLORADO SPRINGS, Nov. 5, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- Alive Communications, the nation's leading literary agency for inspirational authors, is using its 25th anniversary to rebrand itself with a new name, website, and logo, and announce new film/television/book deals.

"We changed our name to Alive Literary Agency, and underwent a makeover for this anniversary," announced president Rick Christian. "When I started Alive in 1989, I could never have imagined the scope of the agency's influence today. We've represented some 4,000 titles that have sold over 200m copies, including countless New York Times bestsellers–13 of which hit in their #1 slot."

This anniversary year also saw the launch of Tri-Star's motion picture, adapted from Alive's Heaven is for Real and written/directed by Randall Wallace, that has grossed over $126m on a budget of $12m.

On the heels of this success, Paramount Pictures announced the production of another Alive bestseller, Same Kind of Different As Me by Ron Hall and Denver Moore with Lynn Vincent, staring Academy Award-nominees Greg Kinnear and Djimon Hounsou, and Oscar-winners Renee Zellweger and Jon Voight. Prep is also beginning on two other 2015 films from Alive titles.

"We're carving new territory in TV as well, with Hallmark airing two original productions next year, adapted from novels by our #1 New York Times bestseller Karen Kingsbury," Christian said, noting they adapted another Alive title in September, Lori Copeland's Stranded in Paradise." He's also wrapping negotiations this month on a television series for mainstream network.

"It's been a great run these first 25 years, but we're not resting on our laurels. Alive is dedicated to discovering and serving this next generation of culture changers. To that end, we're continuing to sign some of our biggest publishing deals ever, and we'll close book deals for clients of about $5 million between now and year's end."
