TEMECULA, Calif., Sept. 12, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- Director Darla Rae and Film It Productions returns to Temecula with their new award winning film Spirit of Love, the Mike Glenn story, starring NBA Legend mike "Stinger" Glenn. Temecula is the very film festival which helped launch Film It Productions career in the film industry.

"Temecula was the first film festival I had ever entered and fortunately for us we won an award with our first film and as a result of screening in Temecula we met people who screened our film in Mumbai, and Milan, which helped us to get worldwide distribution. It's an honor to be returning to such an incredible event with a Christian, Faith, and Family film. Temecula and festival director Jo Moulton along with staff members and audiences have been very receptive to our faith films and were grateful." said director Darla Rae.

Rae's new film Spirit of Love, the Mike Glenn story is inspired by retired NBA legend Mike "Stinger" Glenn and his real life basketball camps for deaf & hard of hearing teens. The teens in this film had never acted before and they not only steal the show they steal your heart. Glenn plays himself in the film.

A group of misfit teens arrive at the 33rd annual camp, which is the first time girls will attend the camp. Some come with hoop dreams and others are trying to survive teen angst. Not only do they learn life lessons through the game of basketball, but they soon learn what it means to soar like an Eagle, Win or Lose.

Rae said, "The film is CAPTIONED, and has ASL, and the spoken word. It's made to bridge the gap between the hearing and deaf and hard of hearing communities. So audiences can watch it together. It also pays tribute to an iconic NBA legend who helps serve the deaf and hard of hearing communities not only with his skills but with his heart as well. Most importantly it is a Christian, Faith ,family Film.

The film screens in Temecula on Thurs.Sept.18th at 3pm, and Fri.Sept.19th at 9pm. 27531Ynez Rd. Temecula CA. Tickets are $8 for Students and Seniors. General admission is $10 and day passes for $15.

A Q&A will take place with the director and cast members following each screening. The film is rated PG, and is also approved by the Dove Foundation for family friendly viewing for all ages.
