OPINION, Aug. 20, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- The following is submitted by Rev. Rusty Lee Thomas of Operation Save America:
Since our inception, our nation struggled with some form of racism, slavery and segregation being the two most notable manifestations. Much blood, sweat, toil, and wealth were spent righting these moral wrongs. Thank God, Americans before us were willing to end these injustices.
While many Americans are acquainted with the racism that led to slavery and segregation, most seem ignorant of the racism that has led to genocide. This modern form of racism is far more detrimental than the "race card" politics of the day. On the one hand, America's sensitivity to race is painfully acute as witnessed in the Ferguson, MO conflict. On the other hand, we cannot seem to discern between the politically generated, media driven, race baiting "industry," and an actual racism that has led to the death of millions.
Fortunately, there are a few courageous leaders in the African American community, who discern the difference. These leaders have strong ties to their communities yet, the media ignores or marginalizes them. Their message does not fit the liberal establishment's racial template that views life through a Marxist, racial, social class warfare grid instead of a good vs. evil Biblical grid.
Professional race baiters exploit prejudices to fill their coffers and expand their political empires. In the name of ending racism, they purposely stoke the fires of racism. They cannot afford to work themselves out of lucrative positions.
Tragically, many of the so-called leaders in the civil rights movement have turned a blind eye and a deaf ear to the fatal form of racism promoted by the American holocaust. Blinded by money, favor, influence, and power, these "leaders" give aid and comfort to organizations like Planned Parenthood in the abortion industry that have done more harm to the black community than all previous forms of racism combined. In this case, the words of Jesus ring ever so true, they are indeed "the blind leading the blind (Matthew 15:14)."
