Christian Newswire/ -- "Rose Guide to the Tabernacle" has been honored as a finalist in the Bible Reference & Study category of the Christian Book Awards for 2009.
The all-in-one spiral-bound book is a compendium of 128 pages of full-color Bible charts, illustrations, color diagrams, maps, and time lines drawn from years of research by the Rose Publishing staff.
These pages are reproducible and designed especially for Bible study groups and church reference use. The Rose Guide to the Tabernacle also includes eight clear plastic overlays that allow people to see inside the Tabernacle and the Ark of the Covenant.
Finalists in the "Best Bible Reference and Study" category were selected for being scholarly and well researched as well as fresh and compelling. Design and impact were additional criteria.
The honor was determined by a team of 72 expert judges on behalf of the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association who analyzed books in five categories. Five finalists were selected within this category, and winners will be announced on March 19 at the Christian Book Expo, being held at the Dallas Convention Center. One title will be selected from the finalists to receive ECPA's top honor: Christian Book of the Year.
Packed with features such reproducible charts on the sacrificial system, the parallels between the high priest and Jesus Christ, the types of offerings, the calendar of biblical feasts and holidays, a Passover seder for Christians, a diagram and explanation of the high priestly garments, the pattern of worship in the Old Testament, a bird's-eye view of the Tabernacle, as well as original never-before-released paintings of the Tabernacle at Mt. Sinai.
