Christian Newswire/ -- Steven W. Mosher, President of the Population Research Institute, will testify tomorrow before the Congressional Co-Executive Commission on China (CECC), co-chaired by Rep. Christopher Smith and Sen. Marco Rubio. The hearing is entitled "China's New 'Two-Child Policy' & the Continuation of Massive Crimes Against Women and Children."
The hearing will take place on Thursday, December 3rd, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Capitol Hill Visitor's Center, Room HVC 210. The event is free and open to the public. If you are not able to attend, the hearing will also be broadcast via live webcast on the CECC's YouTube Channel which can be accessed

China's Communist Party recently announced they will be moving away from the one-child policy that has been in place for the past 35 years, replacing it with a two-child policy. The move comes as a result of the Communist Party's concerns about China's rapidly aging population and shrinking labor force.
"China's new two-child policy does not mean a new dawn of reproductive freedom in China," says Mosher. "The Chinese Communist Party will remain as firmly in control of fertility as ever. Abuses such as forced abortions and forced sterilizations will continue."
Steven Mosher will be joined at tomorrow's hearing by Nicholas Eberstadt, Reggie Littlejohn, Jennifer Li, and Sarah Huang.
