MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 6 /Christian Newswire/ -- According to a recent study by The Barna Group, Ltd., only 9 percent of Evangelicals have a biblical worldview. This stunning statistic reveals that an estimated 91 percent of professing Christians do not live their lives as though the Bible is real and relevant to them. In response, Focus on the Family is launching the most ambitious project in its history -- The Truth Project(TM). Training conference events have been scheduled around the country -- with the next event being held October 13 and 14 at Cedar Valley Church in Bloomington.
"With so few Christians having an accurate biblical worldview, many in the church are living lives that are, in many ways, undistinguishable from lives of non-believers," said Del Tackett, senior vice president of Focus on the Family and The Truth Project conference host and speaker.
The Truth Project desires to reverse this trend with what will be a deep, foundational transformation within the lives of those who attend.
"We believe The Truth Project(TM) represents the possibility for exponential change within the body of Christ, as we expect that thousands will be transformed by this training -- and we are excited to have the opportunity to share this life-changing program with our friends in the Minneapolis area," Tackett added.
This exciting two-day event will present attendees with a comprehensive biblical worldview training that, when finished, will equip them to bring the information back to their communities and lead their own small-group The Truth Project(TM) trainings.
Focus on the Family is bringing The Truth Project(TM) to a number of locations throughout 2006 and beyond. Scheduled locations include Atlanta, Ga., Orlando, Fla. and Anchorage, AK.
Registration cost is $119 per attendee or $149 for attendee and spouse. For more information, or to register for an event, please visit http://www.thetruthproject.org/events/ .
