WASHINGTON, Jan. 18 /Christian Newswire/ -- Monday, January 22, will mark the 34th annual March for Life, and Concerned Women for America (CWA) will join thousands of other passionate pro-life Americans in marching to protect the sanctity of all life. March for Life is a unique opportunity for like-minded people from around the country to unite and voice their opposition to the Supreme Court's detrimental Roe v. Wade decision.
CWA President Wendy Wright said, "CWA will be among the thousands who hold their banners high in our nation's capital to promote respect for life. Over three decades ago the Supreme Court made a tragic decision in Roe v. Wade that has caused the death of over 45 million babies, harmed women and divided our country. Year after year, a growing multitude of Americans have met on this day to march in support of protecting innocent life.
"March for Life is an upbeat opportunity for mainstream America to unite and energize. It marks the progress of a decrease in the number of abortions each year and increase in pro-life legislation passed. We are encouraged by people who work year-round to promote life by volunteering at pregnancy centers, opening their homes to young pregnant women and teaching abstinence education."
Concerned Women for America is the nation's largest public policy women's organization.
