MANCHESTER, New Hampshire, Jan. 5 /Christian Newswire/ -- A coalition of pro-life and pro-family organizations will hold a major pro-life witness at the New Hampshire Presidential Primary called, "The New Hampshire Awakening."

The New Hampshire Awakening will take place from January 5 through January 8, 2008.  The project will include rallies featuring nationally known speakers and musicians and worship gatherings.

National and local organizations feel it is imperative that the voice of the innocent children that have been brutalized through abortion be heard loud and clear at the start of the Presidential Primary season.

Shannon McGinley, a New Hampshire faith and value leader, and Rev. Patrtick J. Mahoney, the Director of the Christian Defense Coalition, comment, "The eyes of the nation and the world will be on New Hampshire when the nation's first Presidential Primary is held on January 8.  In light of that, it is critical for the Christian community to seize this historic opportunity and publicly share the pro-life and faith message.  The New Hampshire Awakening will ensure the voice of the children will be heard during the primary season."

Danielle Versluys, Spokesperson for Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust, adds, "As a surviving member of the post-Roe v. Wade generation, I am in New Hampshire to expose and challenge Senator Obama, Senator Clinton and the Democratic Party for the radical support of abortion and their senseless genocide of my peers.

Over 50,000,000 children have died from abortion in the past 35 years.  Also, millions of women, men andtheir families have been irreparably harmed by this so-called "safe and legal" procedure.  Shamefully, Democrat leaders not only hide the ugly truth about abortion-they endorse it.

To the Democratic Party my emerging generation issues this challenge:  return to a platform of justice and stand in defense of the most vulnerable American citizens."
