Christian Newswire/ -- Christian Tools of Affirmation (CTA) has selected Rev. Donald Ruth of St. John's Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, LA., as the 2009 Servant Heart Pastor of the Year.
Rev. Ruth was nominated by his 600-member church based on his humility, selflessness, and Christlike commitment to his ministry. In addition to his pastoral service at St. John's, Rev. Ruth founded St. John Bible Institute in 2002. He also recently started an educational summer camp for young children aimed at reaching out and enhancing the lives of local youth. Rev. Ruth's ministry spans racial, social, and international boundaries.
