RENO, March 27, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- Thousands of adventure game apps exist for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices, yet there are none which focus on positive Christian values and helping your society. Reno mobile game developer and publisher 2Word Software is now seeking to add to the Apple app repertoire, filling a gap for mobile device gamers of any age that may want to play a constructive game on a large social stage.
"The Unity Game" has been designed from the ground up by a team with over 20 years experience in game creation, utilizing an existing game engine. This "freemium" role playing game (RPG) allows user-created characters to build community and good will through a series of progressive adventures. Players accomplish goals, purchase properties and necessary items, and build up circles of friends in a contemporary setting. Groups of friends can build increasingly challenging projects together, from opening a food kitchen or free health clinic, to creating a war-zone response group providing international aid. There is also a social messaging system built in, allowing players to strategize and chat without having to leave their game session.
Once produced and released, it will be the first among mobile device games geared towards positive, Christian contributions to society and working with others in a kind and thoughtful way. To complete the final phase, 2Word is seeking additional funding through Kickstarter by April 16, an online fundraising mechanism on which innovators post a project and financial goal that needs to be met in order to see their vision through to fruition. Those that pledge their support are only charged once the project's initial financial goal is met, and receive special rewards ranging from in-game currency to being named in the game credits and much more for contributing.
