DALLAS, Aug. 4, 2016 /Christian Newswire/ -- Following her successful two decades-long run with Women of Faith as "Mama T" or, better, the "Oprah of the Christian world," Thelma Wells invites women to reimagine the long-term benefits of creating an atmosphere of agreement, understanding, and reconciliation to unify the family now and for generations to come. At age 75, Wells unveils probably her greatest commission yet, called Generation Love, a one-day series of conferences born from the mantle she received from her grandmother Sarah Harrell who raised Thelma when she was in her sixties. For information online, visit GenerationLove.info.

Launching Saturday, Sept. 24, from 9:00-5:00, at Trinity Church in Cedar Hill, TX, Generation Love will celebrate a diversity of women from many ethnicities, denominations, and nationalities in an effort to unite the generations and demonstrate legacies worth leaving. From worship to games, speeches, panel discussion, dramatic sketches, inspirational dance and prayer, multi-generational families will have a part to play--from the audience to the performers.

"Imagine mothers, grandmothers, children, tweens and millennials taking the stage to praise God together in unity," said Wells. The conference is based on Psalm 100:5:"The Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endures to all generations." Wells' daughter Vikki added, "Throughout the program, families will be encouraged to seek God as they re-commit to understanding, listening and gleaning from the wisdom of each generation and putting love first."

Thelma will deliver the introduction and keynote message, surrounded by an impressive circle of speakers and award winning artists, including Babbie Mason, Steph Carse, Anna Byrd and Guy Hatcher. Popular actress and former Women of Faith porch pal Nicole Johnson lends her playwriting gift to a series of dramatic, multi-generational sketches featuring grandmother, mother, son and daughter.

The conference will include two panels hosted by mother/daughter team Raschelle & Haylee Loudenslager and Father/Son team Loren and Zach Norris. Focusing on issues of living a legacy, the topical Q&A will address:

        Single motherhood
        Women without biological children
Women and children facing abuse and proverty
        Discrimination, bias and prejudice
        A single woman's role
Communicating with GenX, GenY and Millennials
Seniors raising grandchildren and great grandchildren
Adoption, rejection and unsupportive family members
        Family members who are unbelievers
        Blended families

Wells concluded, "As a great grandmother, I love to see my children and grandchildren put God first. It's not always easy and they do go astray, but modeling God for them pays off. The word never fails and I want to encourage the women who attend Generation Love to trust in God with ALL of their heart and stand firm in faith that he will save our children and use them for his glory."

The 2016-17 Generation Love Tour also includes conferences the following dates: October 15 at Sunnyvale First Baptist Church, Sunnyvale, Texas; January 28 at First Baptist Grapevine, Grapevine, Texas; and February 25 at Cornerstone Baptist, Arlington, Texas.
