MEDIA ADVISORY, October 24 /Christian Newswire/ -- The presidential election looms large for anxious voters. Daily polls reveal a tightening race. Starting today, for a limited time, voters nationwide can witness an award-winning drama to overturn Roe vs. Wade at the U.S. Supreme Court. Advent Film Group's new movie, COME WHAT MAY, is available for viewing at: www.adventfilmgroup.com/freemovie for a weeklong run.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Roe vs. Wade could hang in the balance if Justices John Paul Stevens, who is 88, or Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 75, were replaced by the next president. It may end the liberal wing majority of the current court, or expand it. Whoever wins the presidency in 2008 will determine the fate of unborn millions for generations.
COME WHAT MAY (CWM) tackles the contentious issue of reversing Roe head-on. "This film could be a tipping point in this dramatic battle of Good vs. Evil in your and my lifetime," explains Kurt Ramspott, founder of Guys For Life. "It is a 'must see' that will spur you onto action!"
A dozen sponsors are promoting this event. Collectively, they will email blast over 3.5 million people, beginning this weekend, asking them to watch the free online screening before they vote. Sponsor web sites, blogs, and online news sites, including over 200 radio stations will carry stories and promos about the free online screenings.
American Family Association, one of the largest and most active pro-family organizations in the country is hosting the event. Another online venue is GodTube, which is streaming the movie starting Monday, October 27 through Wednesday, October 29.
"Every citizen must vote with their heart, mind, and conscience, not just their pocketbook," implores George Escobar, AFG founder and co-director/producer of COME WHAT MAY. "We are inviting everyone to watch this movie. Then asking them to tell their neighbor that it's more than just 'the economy, stupid.' This election is also about life OR death for millions of future Americans yet unborn," Escobar clarifies.
The controversial film is a 2008 Redemptive Storyteller Award winner. It has received rave reviews from preview audiences nationwide, drawing large crowds in Oregon where 800 moviegoers filled the Grants Pass Performing Arts Center to capacity. Six distributors are vying for CWM, including the distributor of the new Christian blockbuster, FIREPROOF.
