Did you know the Lord JESUS himself is "eternal life"? With crystal clarity 1 John 1:1,2 reveals that truth and, thereby, indirectly refutes various, serious FALSE beliefs, such as:
Because Jesus (eternal life) was never created, he must be deity, for only the eternal God and his creation exists. Consequently, Jesus is "God" (but not the person of the father). Jesus created everything, and it was all created for him (Col. 1:16). His deity is explicitly proclaimed in various verses (John 1:1; 20:28; Heb. 1:8; Rom. 9:5; 2 Pet. 1:1; Col. 2:9; etc.) and in different ways (Mt. 14:33; 28:18; Acts 7:59; Heb. 1:3; Rev. 5:12-14; etc.). Moreover, the following scripture is linked to eternal life and to the true God:
==> ...And we are in him who is true--even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is THE TRUE GOD AND ETERNAL LIFE. (1 John 5:20)
The true God is eternal life, and the eternal life is JESUS. Your salvation, if you have it, is linked to the Lord Jesus Christ - the only Savior (Acts 4:12). Note:
==> And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. (1 John 5:11,12)
Do you "know" JESUS today (1 John 2:3,4)? Are you following him (Jn. 10:27)? Are you set free from your sin addictions, as all true Christians are (Rom. 6:18; 6:22; Jn. 8:34-36)? Are you putting into practice God's word (Lk. 8:21). Have you become a backslider - again entangled in sin (2 Pet. 2:20-22)? If so, cry out to God for mercy and sincerely repent. Remember the prodigal (Lk. 15:11-32). There is NO eternal security; the Catholic Mary is a fantasy and has become a savior and an idol in Catholicism; the Jehovah's Witnesses have a false Jesus and a false gospel, just as the Muslims; the Oneness Pentecostals have also been misled about Jesus and salvation, etc. REPENT and place 100% of your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 20:21) to save your soul.
