NEW YORK, Oct. 20 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Clarion Fund is calling on all concerned Americans to demand that the Marriott Crystal Gateway Hotel cancel CAIR's 15th Annual Banquet this Saturday, October 24, 2009 in Arlington VA.

The Banquet's keynote speaker, Siraj Wahhaj, is an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center. In 2004, Wahhaj was featured on a panel entitled, "Replacing the Constitution with the Koran: 'Conquest or Conversion' through Islamic Propagation." This year's conference is being held adjacent to the Pentagon which was struck in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001.

"The theme of this year's conference 'Leading the Change' but we must ask ourselves what 'change' they are leading," stated Raphael Shore, founder of the Clarion Fund and Executive Producer of The Third Jihad: Radical Islam's Vision for America.

"CAIR has been leading a charge against the rights of Americans to exercise their freedom of speech. In particular, CAIR attempts to silence the dialogue on the threats of radical Islam."

"We need to make sure that the dialogue continues and that pressure is applied to radical organizations in the United States. All concerned citizens need to understand the nature of the threat posed by organizations like CAIR, educate others and take action," Shore added.

Americans should know the following about CAIR:

• CAIR was designated as an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terror finance trial in American history, the Holy Land Foundation trial.
   
• Although CAIR has condemned acts of terror, it has never specifically denounced Hamas or Hezbollah as terror organizations, even though both have been listed as Designated Foreign Terrorist Organizations by the federal government.
   
• It took CAIR at least 1 month to condemn Osama bin Laden after 9/11.
   
• Over 60% of CAIR's funding is said to be from Persian Gulf sources.
