ATLANTA, March 29, 2013 /Christian Newswire/ -- While thousands of churches around the world host their Easter events with egg hunts and barbecues this Easter Sunday, one Atlanta Church is looking to the sky for an alternative.
Atlanta's Influencers Church will drop thousands of candy-filled Easter eggs from a helicopter this Saturday, March 30th at the Hull Middle School in Duluth, GA, marking the first event of its kind in the area. Hundreds of families are expected to attend, attracted by drawings for large prizes such as an Xbox, Flat Screen HD TV, and more, as well as the chance to take the kids out for a day filled with food, face painting, jumping castles, and a petting zoo.
Pastor Ashley Evans, originally from Adelaide, Australia, sees the outing as a terrific way to share some fun while also sharing the Word of God this Easter. "Let's celebrate Easter, Influencers-style! It's going to be an epic day! Folks will get to experience Church a whole different way!"
Influencer's volunteers suggest attendees arrive early at 10AM, as the helicopter will fly over and drop its payload of Easter eggs at 11:15AM sharp. Admission and parking are free to area residents. The following day, a special prize drawing will be held at Influencers Church with their Easter Sunday service at the Gwinnett Convention Center Ballroom, starting also at 10AM.
