WASHINGTON, Sept. 18, 2018 /Christian Newswire/ -- Jeff Kemp, Dr. Johnny Parker and Pastor Rod Hairston - three of the nation's most sought-after speakers - will be featured keynoters at Derwood Bible Church in Derwood MD on Saturday October 6, 2018 for the 2018 Mid-Atlantic Regional Men's Conference. The event is sponsored by the Washington Area Coalition of Men's Ministries (WACMM).

Jeff Kemp is a former NFL quarterback who played eleven seasons. He and his late father Jack are one of only four sets of fathers and sons who have played quarterback in the NFL. Jeff was the founder and president of Stronger Families, a Seattle-based non-profit that united communities around strengthening marriages, served as Vice President of Family Life ministry in Little Rock AR and author of Facing the Blitz: Three Strategies for Turning Trials into Triumphs.

Dr. Johnny Parker is a former Redskins chaplain and serves as an executive coach and relationship architect. He is an adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University. He has also pastored at McLean Bible Church VA and First Baptist Church of Glenarden MD. He earned an M.A. in Counseling Psychology and a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership from Regent University. He has authored several books including Turn the Page: Unlocking the Story Within You.

Rod Hairston, a former Baltimore Colts chaplain, is the senior pastor of Messiah Community Church in Reisterstown MD. For fourteen seasons, he served as a chaplain and life coach to the NFL's Baltimore Ravens, earning two Super Bowl rings. Rod is a frequent speaker at NCAA and NFL team gatherings, men's and marriage conferences, and corporate training sessions. He is also author of Cover Her: How to Create a Safe Place for the Ladies in Your Life.

Eight different breakout sessions will address topics such as: biblical manhood, marriage, fatherhood, faith and work; racial reconciliation; evangelism; dealing with temptation; discipleship; and men's health. Worship will be led by "The Iron Men Praise Band." There will also be a plenary panel discussion with Kemp, Parker and Hairston on faith, football and friendships and also audience Q-A's with the keynote speakers.
