Ellmers Will Help Make this the "Year of the Pro-Life Woman"

Christian Newswire/ -- Today the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund, a national pro-life political action committee, announced its endorsement of Renee Ellmers, candidate for U.S. Representative in North Carolina's 2nd congressional district.

Mrs. Ellmers has extensive experience in the healthcare industry working as a nurse and running a trauma surgery clinic alongside her husband, a surgeon. She actively opposes the healthcare reform bill which included federal of abortion and, arguably, the greatest expansion of abortion since Roe v. Wade.
Incumbent Rep. Bob Etheridge (D-NC) voted for the healthcare reform bill that included federal funding of abortion. He recently received attention when a videotape surfaced of a physical altercation with a student.
Ellmers and Etheridge will face off in the November general election.
