LOS ANGELES, Aug. 15 /Christian Newswire/ -- Capitol Resource Institute and the California Republican Assembly will sponsor a “Veto the Triple Threat” pro-family rally at the California Republican Party Convention this Saturday, August 19th. Scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at The Plaza at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, conservative leaders will urge Governor Schwarzenegger to veto AB 606, AB 1056, and SB 1437.
Senate candidate Dick Mountjoy, State Controller candidate Tony Strickland, Senator George Runner, Assemblywoman Sharon Runner and Assemblywoman Mimi Walters will join many other conservative leaders at the rally to support California families. Co- sponsors of the rally include Concerned Women for America (California), Eagle Forum of California, and Pacific Justice Institute.
Dubbed the “Triple Threat” to California families, AB 606, AB 1056 and SB 1437 seek to advance the homosexual agenda in California. “Our goal is to let the Governor know that California families are counting on him to keep his promise to veto SB 1437,” stated Karen England, Executive Director of Capitol Resource Institute. “We are also counting on him to defend free speech by vetoing the equally offensive AB 606 and AB 1056.”
