PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 5, 2020 /Christian Newswire/ -- Catholic Bishops in Pennsylvania and across the U.S., have repeatedly proclaimed, "The protection of human life from conception until natural death is the preeminent obligation of a truly just society." -- Catholic Philly, October 16, 2008

Many Bishops have clearly taught that this proclamation means that Catholics in good conscience may not vote for Joe Biden or other pro-abortion candidates. An excellent example of such a teaching is Bishop Thomas Paprocki's September 20, 2020 letter, which is available at https://ct.dio.org/bishops-column/message/keep-in-mind-abortion-remains-preeminent-issue-in-upcoming-election.html.

Archbishop Nelson Pérez has not yet issued any Election statements. This Event appeals to Archbishop Pérez to issue a statement as strong or stronger than Bishop Thomas Paprocki's teaching.

We will also be appealing to Archbishop Pérez to admonish U.S. House candidates in the Philadelphia Archdiocese, who claim to be faithful Catholics, yet support a "legal right" to kill children in the womb by abortion. These candidates are Rep. Brendan Boyle from St. Anselm Parish in Northeast Philadelphia, Rep. Madeleine Dean from St. Luke's Parish in Glenside, and Christina Finello from Nativity Parish in Warminster.

This Event is sponsored by the Pa. Pro-Life Coalition and our local affiliates. Nationally prominent pro-life activist Randall Terry will be speaking at this Event from a bus that exposes Joe Biden's pro-abortion position in words and images.
