INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., July 19, 2018 /Christian Newswire/ -- Crossroads Bible College, with campuses in Indianapolis and Ft. Wayne, announced today that they have entered into an agreement to pursue a merger with the College of Biblical Studies in Houston, Texas. The two Bible colleges hope to combine resources in an effort to strengthen Crossroads and increase offerings to students. Both colleges focus on multiethnic urban ministry and have predominately ethnic minority students.

President Emeritus Dr. A. Charles Ware believes the opportunity to pursue this merger with the CBS-Houston will be an example of how kingdom work can strengthen and advance when ministries with common missions unite for the greater good. "CBS-Houston brings value to CBC such as regional accreditation, a developed online platform, and a strong team of professionals with a history of success. It also allows us to combine some resources, such as software licensing and information systems."

CBS-Houston President Dr. William Blocker believes Bible colleges must come together to remain viable in today's world. "Bible colleges are facing some enormous challenges, but when we come together, we are stronger, more efficient, and a more effective ministry. Together we can focus on preserving our past, impacting our present, and shaping our future for the cause of Christ."
