First Apologetics Curriculum for Tweens to be Released
Contact: Tom Griffin, 770-597-2654, tjgconsult@aol.com

ATLANTA, Jan. 10, 2018 /Christian Newswire/ -- The toxic effect of the secular university on Christian faith is well known, but the truth is that 84% of youth have doubts about their Christian faith before college.

With so many people falling away from the faith as early as junior high and middle school, what can one do? Tom Griffin, an experienced Christian educator, recognized the need early on. He knew that 'apologetics,' that is, the defense of the Christian faith, was important for this age group. However, he couldn't find any Sunday School curriculum or other materials that was suitable.

So he made it himself. He buckled down and produced "Apologetics for Tweens."

This apologetics curriculum is specifically directed at 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. After a long wait, it will be officially released next week, January 15th.

However, there has already been intense interest in the curriculum. Pastors, Sunday School teachers, and homeschooling parents alike have examined Griffin's materials and declared, "This is exactly what I have been looking for, but there is nothing available."

Why are people having this reaction? Griffin explains, "The need for apologetics has moved downstream even to elementary school. The kids are smarter now than ever before, and with the pervasive influence of the internet and accelerating secular attacks, questions about Christianity and other religions form far earlier."

The curriculum is published through Athanatos Publishing Group, a Christian apologetics ministry that has also been studying the rise in the religiously 'unaffiliated' and has been attempting to meet the challenge.

Athanatos Ministry's Executive Director, Dr. Anthony Horvath, makes the point that Griffin's curriculum is not just for churches, although naturally youth pastors and directors will be very interested. He says, "Given the importance of the family in transmitting the faith, we are making sure that parents and grandparents also know about Griffin's 'Apologetics for Tweens' curriculum."

So, whether you are a pastor or a parent, if you are looking for a way to fortify the faith of middle schoolers, "Apologetics for Tweens" might be just what you're looking for.

Although the curriculum is not officially available until next week, the publisher has authorized a pre-release promotion of 25% off of purchases made through the Athanatos website.
